From a medieval inn the building was turned to a place of modern lifestyle. Viennese architect Boris Podrecca set new standards in international hôtellerie. With a view out onto Walther Square, this Hotel Greif is the town's very own drawing-room. Running across the dark oiled and waxed Wengé parquet flooring are hand-crafted Persian Gabbeh rugs. Behind the elegant facades are 33 rooms, each one different from the other. Raw silk curtains at the windows and fine brocade on the bed distinguish day from night and furniture from the hotel's own workshop match the knotted walnut of the antique pieces. From the breakfast terrace your view stretches out over the city to the slopes of the Schlern, the landmark of the Dolomites.
