The building called Torreon de los Velada comprises several houses dating from the fifteenth century. They were all substantially reformed during the sixteenth century, preserving their medieval air. The House of los Velada presumably had a very active life until well into the seventeenth century and was frequented by monarchs and courtiers. Proximity to the Cathedral and the Bishop’s Palace, made of it a suitable lodge for sovereigns or courtiers. Today the Palace of los Velada has been beautifully restored and transformed into a very comfortable luxurious four star hotel with charmingly decorated bedrooms and superbly appointed deluxe bathrooms. The most impressive area of the Palace is the inner courtyard, hotel life practically evolves around it. This is the place where you can enjoy lunch or dinner on the open, sit down for a chat or maybe have a drink at the bar while listening to music. From here you see the corridors above you, leading to all the bedrooms.
